We are pleased to publish our new success story – and to share what is already our second real-world success story.

At the beginning of 2024, GESCO SE faced the challenge of standardising its IFRS group financial statements in a more efficient and transparent manner. The existing solution was no longer able to meet the company’s growing requirements. Together with Group Factory Consulting GmbH (GFC), GESCO therefore launched a transformation project aimed at consolidating financial master data, data management, and workflows, simplifying structures, and establishing a more reliable reporting environment.

In collaboration with Group Factory Consulting GmbH, a transformation project was therefore launched to fundamentally restructure data management, master data, and workflows.

What we achieved together:

• Reorganization of IDL.KONSIS as a central consolidation solution
• Simplification and standardization of IFRS consolidation processes
• Significantly greater transparency and data consistency
• Successful implementation of a “fast close” within 2–3 days
• Practical “on-the-job” coaching for rapid adoption and sustainable knowledge transfer
• Early successful go-live as early as the end of 2024

The close collaboration on an equal footing between the teams at GESCO SE and the consultants from Group Factory Consulting GmbH was particularly important to the project’s success. Thanks to the practical coaching approach, processes were not only optimized from a technical standpoint but also firmly embedded within the company for the long term.
